I joined the Deeply Bonded Love community roughly 1.5 years ago when my marriage was on the brink of divorce, my children were constantly fighting, and I was trudging through my days full of shame, regret, confusion and lack of joy. My husband and I worked with Amara after 20 years in a practically sexless marriage. We tried EVERYTHING. But we couldn't connect. Our son was getting D's, my health was getting worse and I knew if something didn't change our whole life was going to crash. I felt totally lost and neglected. II admit I was skeptical about being dragged to yet another thing my wife wanted me to do...But I have to say, this is the first program I've ever done that actually worked. When we decided to work with Amara, my wife turned me down 9 out of 10 times. I was sick and tired of being rejected so I dove into my work to get away.
But Amara brought me out from hiding. She is skilled at uncovering hidden wounds and providing psychological concepts I can understand and use. I always knew I loved my wife, but I wasn't sure she wanted me the way I wanted her.
Amara taught me what I needed to know to love her the way a man should. The proof is I can see my wife is happy and feel like she really WANTS to be with me. My relationship was nearing the 2-year mark but we were fighting all the time...We moved in together and were still having sex, but I wasn't into it anymore.
