Even deeply loving
couples can find
themselves at a
threshold.
Perhaps something
between you has
become predictable.
Perhaps you're longing
for more intimacy, play,
tenderness, or erotic
connection.
Perhaps you're moving
through a transition—a
new chapter, an empty
nest, a change in work,
a loss, a betrayal, or
simply the realization
that the relationship
you have is ready to
become something more.
Or perhaps nothing is
wrong at all.
You simply want to
go deeper.
Who are we now?
What is our relationship asking of us?
What would it mean to meet
each other again—
not as the people we've become accustomed to,
but as the people we are becoming?

Before your retreat, Amara spends time
getting to know you—your relationship, your history, your desires, your questions and the places where you feel stuck or hungry for something more.
From there, she personally designs the experience.
There is no predetermined program and no formula to follow. Your retreat unfolds around what is alive between you.
Depending on what you are longing for, your experience might include intimate conversations, embodied practices, sensuality and sexuality, creative exploration, meditation, nature, nervous-system regulation, ritual or deeply transformative inner work.
Some experiences are tender. Some are playful. Some may surprise you.
And some may take you to places you didn't know you were ready to go.
Discovering what you've stopped saying to each other.
Coming back into sensation, presence and desire.
Working with the patterns that keep repeating.
Exploring what wants to awaken between you.
Letting the landscape create space for something new.
Marking what you're leaving behind—and what you're choosing together.
Some of the most powerful shifts
in a relationship happen
when we stop trying t
o change what we
don’t like about ourselves—
and become curious
about what those parts
are trying to tell us.
One of the practices
Amara may bring into a retreat
is Feeding Your Demons,
a shamanic process
in which we turn toward
the parts of ourselves we
usually resist—
the anger, jealousy, shame,
or other inner “demons”
—and discover what they
actually need.
Rather than fighting them,
suppressing them, or
analyzing them endlessly,
we nourish them.
And something remarkable
can happen.
THE PART OF YOU
THAT ONCE SEEMED
TO BE THE PROBLEM
CAN BECOME AN ALLY.
This kind of work can
open a completely different
conversation between
partners—not
How do we get rid of this? but:
What is this part of us asking for?
What becomes possible
when we stop abandoning
the places in ourselves we find difficult?
This is not about
fixing yourself or your partner.
It is about becoming
more fully yourself—
and discovering what
becomes possible when
you bring that wholeness into love.

Not simply how to fall in love.
Not how to keep a relationship together at all costs.
But how two people can continue to become more alive, more intimate and more deeply themselves over time.
Because the person you fell in love with will change.
And so will you.
Long Love asks a different question.
What does it take to keep discovering each other?

There is something about stepping outside the ordinary rhythm of life that makes a different kind of conversation possible.
Santa Fe offers beauty, space, art, landscape, silence and a sense of being outside the familiar.
Your retreat can be entirely private, or elements or Santa Fe can become part of the experience.
The point is not to simply visit Santa Fe.
It is to let being
somewhere different
help you see what is
already here—with
fresh eyes.
If you're curious about creating a private couples retreat with Amara,
begin with a conversation.
Tell me a little about where you are, and what you would love to experience together.
From there we can decide whether a private retreat is right for you.
